Welcome to the
Haringey Irish Centre
Haringey Irish Cultural and Community Centre (HIC&CC) was set up in 1987 in response to the identified needs of the Irish community. Services provided include an Advice and Support Service, a social club and a community resource for a wide variety of groups. We aim to foster and promote community involvement and well-being through the development of activities, services and the provision of comfortable, practical and adapted facilities that contribute to the long-term sustainability of the Centre. This also encourages greater participation from all sections of the community.
The Irish Centre above all is a product of the enthusiasm, interest and involvement of the many people who have contributed to its development over the years. Those people are the source of the Centre’s vitality. The Centre’s continued existence is reliant on the funding received from both the London Borough of Haringey and the Irish Government.
The Irish poet WB Yeats talks about “Wings have memory of Wings”, where one generation builds on the work of previous generations, allowing them to scale higher. As a result of our strong foundations the Irish Centre can face the future with confidence, optimism and determination.
The Haringey Irish Cultural & Community Centre valuing diversity, equality and fairness.
