Advice Service News

The Advice & Support Service has now relocated from the old offices to a newly renovated office on the same floor which is just around the corner in room 3. This large space has incorporated three new interview rooms making it more secure for clients and it also runs in line with the Service’s ethos of total confidentiality. We are delighted to have moved from our rather cramped conditions to a bright new area with plenty of room which was needed to accommodate the gradual expansion of the Service over the past 25 years.

More recently the Service has negotiated a deal with the local Sainsbury’s supermarket to be the recipients of their allocation of bread which is excess to requirements but still of a good standard for consumption. We distribute this amongst the more vulnerable clients on a daily basis.

We continue to distribute FareShare food bags to clients on a weekly basis as well as referring those in greater need to the Haringey Foodbank

Haringey Irish Day Care & Luncheon Club

The Day Care & Lunch club is a service for older people on Monday, Wednesday and Friday each week from 10am – 3pm. A fresh cooked 2 course meal is served and any special dietary needs will be met. Our aim is to provide a hearty welcome in a friendly and warm environment. If interested in attending either service, please telephone Patrick or Christina on 020 8885 5799. We hope to see you soon and assure you of a huge Cead Mile Failte.

Hackney Community Law CentreDrop in on Wednesdays 10 – 1pm at the Centre. Free and Independent legal advice for specific housing problems: homelessness, possession proceedings, disrepair and illegal eviction. No appointment necessary
